We offer a number of options for wine tours in Tuscany. We live here in Siena with the local knowledge to plan a great tour. Most tours can be customized to your liking, just let us know if you are celebrating an anniversary or other special event.

Chianti Wine Tour and Lunch

We will visit two small production family wineries in the Chianti Region with lunch served at the second winery. Leaving from Siena we will drive into the heart of the Chainti Classico wine region. This region is dotted with over 500 wineries, rows upon rows of wines and olive tress. We always have time for photos at some of the very scenic spots. While in our air conditioned van we will have plenty of time to talk about the history of the Chianti Classico wines, we will drive along the historic trail and pass the castle where it all started over 300 years ago.

During the day we have the option to visit one of the medieval hilltop towns such as Castellina or Radda, and like a local a stop for an espresso or an artisanal gelato if you’d like.

Montalcino Brunello Wine Tour with Lunch

We start the day with a scenic drive through the Tuscan country side to our first winery, with incredible views of the valley and mountains around Montalcino. We’ll begin with a tour of the wine cellars before our first tasting of the famous Brunello wines.
Next, we’ll visit the ancient walled city of Montalcino where we’ll tour the fortress, and enjoy a relaxing walk around the town. After our walk through Motalcino, we will have lunch at a faimly restaurant that serves food harvested from their organic gardens. It is small quaint and delicious. After lunch we will visit our second family winery, which includes a tour of their vineyards and an olive oil tasting.

Siena Foodie Tour with Charcuterie Lunch at Salumeria

This special Foodie Tour starts in the heart of the ancient town of Siena. We will visit a cafe for coffee, where the owners roast their own coffee beans as they have for 3 generations. Then we will make the short walk to a 3 generation bakery to hear the history of some of the local Sienese desserts. If this tour is booked on a Tuesday we can visit a locals only farmers market for a sampling of the local cheeses, and honey, among other things. Next we make the short drive outside the walls of Siena,  the Salumeria. A historical delicatessen, which offers artesian quality products. The salamis are lovingly made by, the Norcino, using local recipes that are 300 years old. All made from local livestock without any use of colorants, preservatives, milk based ingredients or gluten. Following our lunch we will make the short drive into the small village called Costal Pino for a visit to a winery for a Chianti wine and olive oil tasting.

Lunch includes a large selection of salumi and meats handcrafted by the owner. Wine is served with lunch.

Tuscan Artisanal Craft Beer Tour

Would you like to join us on one of our newest tours? If you thought Tuscany was all about wine, think again. Craft brewing is alive and well in these here parts. We were suprised when we learned of an annual Tuscan Craft Beer Fest in held in July

Meet the brew masters and hear the stories behind this new craft. Starting in Siena me make the scenic drive through the Tuscan hills to our first stop. We meet a family that decided to follow their passion for beer, rather then keep with the family wine making tradition. We will enjoy our brew tasting with some local appetisers, such as bruschetta and salami. From here we make the short drive to the medieval town of Montepulciano for lunch, with an opportunity to visit and walk to the main piazza before heading to our second beer tasting. Leave the driving to us so you may enjoy the beers of your choice throughout the day.

Includes visit to two local small production Tuscan breweries, with tastings and lunch.

Pienza Cheese, Wine & Photo Opp Tour

This is a full day tour and we cover a lot of sightseeing.

We start with a visit to a local winery and tasting in southern Chianti. We will visit both the cellars and the vineyards for an informative tour of the wine making process, where we will enjoy a tasting of their wines and olive oil. Next, we’ll continue the drive through the scenic Val d’ Orca to the small hilltop town of Pienza. Noted for the it’s quaintness and the local Pecorino cheeses. The drive has the most amazing Tuscan views.
Once in Pienza we will walk through the town, and visit a Pecorino cheese shop where you can purchase cheese
 to take back home with you. Then we are off to enjoy a  light lunch 
in the historicaly rich village of Bagno Vignoni. Your lunch may include a sampling of more Pecorino cheeses if you so desire.
This tour is perfect for photo opportunities of villages, vistas and cypress tree lined Tuscan hills.

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Wine Tour with Winery Lunch

We will visit two wineries in Montepulciano for a tasting of the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and the Rosso di Montalcino wines.  There will be time for us to help our guests understand the history of these important and most nobile wines. They should not be confused with the wines from the region of Abruzzo, which follow a less strict set of wine making rules and are labled Montepulciano di Abruzzo. These less nobile wines are exported in large quantities to the USA. Be prepared to discover these Tuscan wines, made with a minimum of 70% San Giovese grapes. 

We will enjoy a traditional Tuscan lunch paired with the wines. There is time to explore the medieval town of Montepulciano and it’s main piazza which has appeared in many movie sets. 

This is a relaxing day in which we will explore the Valdorcia valley with time to stop and take in the breathtaking views. Bring your appetite and your camera for an amazing day in a wonderful Tuscany setting. Option to visit the old town of Pienza, noted for yet more amazing views and Pecorino cheese tasting.

Meat Lovers Tour, 7 course meat meal including Bistecca alla Fiorentina

We will start by driving from Siena into the heart of the Chianti region, which winds past vineyards and olive groves. There is plenty of time to snap some photos as we make our way to the small town of Panzano. Here we will visit a 5th generation family butcher shop owned by Dario Cecchini, a man who is very passionate about his craft. This butcher shop was always known by the locals, but recently gained much notoriety after a visit by TV food show host Anthony Bourdain. See when Anthony Bourdain meets Butcher Dario Cecchini
Before lunch, we’ll enjoy an aperitivo in the shop tasting such local specialities as lard and salumi, followed by a 7 course meal, that is focused on… you got it… MEAT!

Sit back, roll up your sleeves, as we are served table side to the wood burning grill for some most unforgettable tasting cuts of meats and steaks, all culminating to the most famous steak of all the  Bistecca alla Fiorentina. This is one of those once in a lifetime experiences. The staff are friendly the atmosphere inviting.  Feels like family sitting down to enjoy the amazing food and company. We have often been offered an after dinner grappa or brandy with our dessert.
After lunch we suggest a stroll (the Italians call it a passeggiata) through the small village of Panzano or the town of Castellina in Chianti. This will help us digest, and as always, a caffe’ or gelato is an option.

We provide water and snacks in the van for the day. Sit back and relax, and enjoy the local specialties we have chosen for you while taking in the incredible views of the Chianti region.
Tour Includes:  Aperitivo at the butcher shop of Dario Cecchini, followed by a 7 course meal including Bistecca alla Fiorentina. Lunch is served with vino rosso della case and water. Caffe’ and/or gelato during our walk in the small village.

Hands-On Tuscan Cooking Class – Enjoy Your Efforts for Dinner

We start wtih a visit to the locals only farmers market and butcher shop to choose the freshest seasonal igredients for our menu. We will cook together prepare the dishes using the recipies Massi has provided. At the end of the 4 hour hands-on instruction, we will sit down and enjoy the fruits of our labor. We include a bottle of local wine with your dinner. What would you like to make? The choice is yours. Your choice of a pasta such as Gnocchi, Ravoli of Pici. Pasta sauce of your choice, vegetable and meat course, as well as a dessert. All made from scratch.

This 8 hour tour includes: 4 hours hands-on instruction with an Italian recipes from Massi’s family in a country kitchen with scenic views of the Crete Senesi. Dinner of the items your prepared. Recipes provided and a bottle of local wine with dinner. Farmers market visit available if scheduled on a Tuesday. This tour not availale in the peak summer months.

Wine Tasting & Sunset & Photo Opp Tour

(Half Day tour)

Come watch the setting sun over the Tuscan hills.

We meet approximately 3 hours before sunset. Starting from Siena we will visit to a Chianti winery for a tasting of the well known Chianti Classico wines. From here we will make a short drive to a quaint village with a population of 150 people and a chance to walk around and see how life in a typical ancient town looks like. From here we make a scenic drive past vineyards and olive trees to the special geographic location known as the Crete Senesi . This is THE place to snap those most noted Tuscan shots with the Cypress trees on the rolling hills you have seen on postcards. You have to pinch youself to believe these incredible views are right in front of you. Once we arrive at our pre-chosen destination, we’ll tempt you with some Tuscan snacks and wine.

We bring the lawn chairs and the snacks. You get to watch the setting sun, take some incredible photos, or just sit back and relax.
