LOSI FAMILY WINERY
Many of you may have already met Valeria. She is a fifth-generation winemaker along with her brother Riccardo and her father, Pietro they are the owners of The Losi Family winery. Each year they produce approx. 100,000 bottles of wine using skills passed down through generations of their family. The family can trace its roots back to 1870 and the head of the family at the time named Emilio Losi.
In 1963, the Losi family became members of the Chianti Classico wine Consortium and began bottling with their own brand.

Today the family still cultivates vines and olive trees on the Fontino and Querciavalle farms, which are close to the ancient Chartreuse monastery of Pontignano. The family estate is located inside the southern border of the Chianti Classico region south of Siena.
Still working the land for more than 5 generations the Losi Family Winery produces excellent Chianti Classico wines.
The Losi family estate is 22 hectares of vineyards and 50 hectares with olive groves. The other parts of their property include undisturbed woodland. Located in the southern portion of the Chianti Classico wine region in Castelnuovo Berardenga, it is an ideal Sangiovese grape growing area. They use a combination of traditional wood and cement for fermentation, as well as large botti, and wooden barriques for the aging of their wines.
Among Losi Family wines is a classic style Chianti Classico as well as a Riserva, and Gran Selection. They also produce an IGT, as well as a small production of a white and rose' wine.
